Terms of Trade

Glen Taylor Plumbing Pty Ltd prides itself on producing quality workmanship that meets all compliance standards. We will not complete any works in which the end result will be or is likely to be non- compliant. Non-compliant gas and or plumbing may be subject to involuntary disconnection to be made safe. Non-compliance is at the discretion of the licensed contractor who has a commitment to Gas Standards Act 1972 and the Gas Standards (Gasfitting and Consumer Gas Installations) Regulations 1999 (WA). Works performed will adhere to AS/NZS3500 Standards, Plumbers Licensing Act 1995 (Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations 2000), Plumbing Code Australia 2019 and any other relevant legislation, codes and guidance notes.

Safety

Depending on the nature of the work and unforeseen circumstances, additional charges (quoted and charge out jobs) may be applicable in order to ensure safety of the community and or contractors. This may include (but not limited to) additional; equipment hire, personal protective equipment, soft / hard barricading, waste vacuum truck, electrical service locator etc. 

No allowances

No allowances (if applicable) may be provided with requested quotes. No allowances mean possible services/ additional costs that may be required, but have not been allowed for in the quote. If these services/ additional costs are required due to circumstances of the works, they will be charged upon job completion. The client may be verbally made aware of these unforeseen circumstances at the time of the works being completed. If any unforeseen circumstances are required in the interest of safety and or compliance, the licensed contractor will not require authorization to make safe or complaint. 

Some no allowances include (but are not limited to);

- Unforeseen circumstances / items (materials)

- Disposal fees

- Additional works required to make plumbing / gas works compliant as per compliance note above

- Reinstate land scaping due to excavations etc (including reticulation)

- Additional contractors such as electricians, tilers, gyprockers, painters etc.

- A one hour minimum charge is applicable to all jobs. All hours involved are chargeable including travel time. The schedule of fees is below.

- All materials remain the property of Glen Taylor Plumbing Pty Ltd until accounts are settled in full.

- An authorized PO must be provided or payment in full prior to any works  commencing. (Unless otherwise agreed upon)

- Glen Taylor Plumbing Pty Ltd retains the right to alter its schedule of rates at any time.

- Our calls are recorded for quality purposes.

- By providing work authorization, job number or PO to undergo or complete works, you agree to the terms of trade and other applicable policies.

- Unless otherwise agreed upon may include; verbal authorization (in urgent cases ONLY), written confirmation, or at the discretion of the licensed contractor (due to safety requirements). 

- In the case of urgent works, the person whom provides verbal authorization will be liable for any associated costs that the business/company represented do not allow. Verbal authorization will be noted against the job with time, date and full name. 

- If a project is running behind schedule or works have been rescheduled, for any reason, no invoice reductions or discounts are applicable. 

- Glen Taylor Plumbing Pty Ltd does not accept costs of liquidated damages.

If you require technical services, a technician will be dispatched to your location to conduct an inspection and provide a quote for the work required. Once you have accepted the quote, the technician will commence work on the necessary repairs, maintenance or installations. Payment for the services rendered will be required immediately upon completion of the job. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all of your technical needs are met promptly and professionally.  

A 50% deposit is required for any works quoted to be over $1000.

Payment terms for account holders are negotiated at our discretion.
